Dry Ice (Co2) Cleaning
This is a process where solid Carbon Dioxide (Co2) called Dry Ice in pellet form is propelled at high velocity to impact and clean contaminants from a material. The dry ice pellets which are at -79°C are accelerated using compressed air. Upon impact the Dry Ice pellets create a micro thermal shock effect which breaks the bond between the contaminants and the materials surface. The Dry Ice pellets vaporise upon impact.
